Easter Celebration Continues

After brunch we traveled to Bill, Diana and Devin's home for "linner" at 2 p.m. Needless to say, although the food looked and smelled fabulous, none of us were hungry but snacked on this and that (mostly desserts). Danelle stuffed 400 egggs and Diana's mom stuffed 100 plastic eggs. Between the 5 kiddos they each scored atleast 100 eggs filled with candy. After emptying them and trading, TJ arrived home with more candy that he did at Halloween this past year and none of it was chocolate - Bummer!

Dinner at 10:30 am, really?

Well, my mistake. I asked my Dad to have his mom (TJ's great grandma) ask for athe early seating for Easter lunch at Greenwood Village where she resides. After being informed of our dinner time, I could not ask her to change it since she did it for me! So....we skipped breakfast and dined on ham, mashed potatos, etc. well before noon. My cousin, Jaime who is attending a conference for work in Chicago all week drove down and joined us for this well timed meal as well as Doug and his girlfriend, Amanda. Of course Dad was there and he is sporting a beard!

Easter Egg Hunt in the Rain

Today we celebrated the Easter holiday with family. However, before venturing south, we discovered that the Easter Bunny hid TJ's eggs outside...it was raining. Todd, Lea and I watched from the covered porch! The bunny knows him well as no candy was within. He scored $9 in coins and several lottery tickets! Perhaps he will win enough to pay his tuition in the Fall. Luckily, his basket which was my dad's as a child as well as mine was found inside the house!

Scooping Poop!

Spring brings many things, including mounds of unwanted material that magically appears when the snow melts. I prefer to do this task when things are still frozen. Lucky for me, TJ was home to fill the bags and he filled several!
