3 1/2 Inches

TJ has grown this much in the past 12 months. He and Todd attended the Motorcross at Lucas Oil Stadium last night with Jeremy and his son, Jacob. TJ wanted to wear jeans. He rarely has the opportunity to wear jeans so he pulled out his only pair which showed off his ankles beautifully. Those are now in the pile for Goodwill. Then he pulled out a pair handed down by cousin, Devin and they hung down his waist like the teens do when they show off their boxers. TJ wore a pair of running pants. Guess I am going shopping (again).

Busy Day

TJ is playing on a newly formed basketball All Star team - the First Baptist Knights. He played in his first game with the team today. The added benefit of this team is being reunited with some past teammates from St. Luke; Clay, Clayton, and Mack! Following the game, Clay returned home with us for some quality giggle time with TJ. Here they are playing a wild game of "Can you get your ball to stay up stairs without it bouncing back at you".

Then Jack joined us to cheer on fellow classmate Andrew at his hockey game. To top the day off, we ventured to Dave & Busters for dinner and games. Bonus - they serve beer!

Mardi Gras

Tonight TJ's school is hosting thier bi-annual fundraiser. Another mom and I were responsible for the 4th grade donation for the auction. Our assigned theme was "All Around Town". We raised funds and ordered a personalized fleece blanket to put with a picnic basket and misc tickets to local venues. Here is the blanket highlighting the best 4th graders ever!

We hope they raised lots and lots of money for the school!

Recovered

Colts lost to the Saints in Superbowl 44 and it has taken me until today to admit it. Recovery is a process! Speaking of recovery. TJ is recovering from a quick bout of the stomach flu. He is a tidy puker!

Florida Sun

Just returned from a quick girls trip to Florida with great friends, Kirstine, Diana, Lucy, and Cindy! As soon as we left, a snowstorm crossed Indiana. Todd sent me a photo of the snow piled up around our home so I returned the favor and sent him a photo of the sun shining on the pool! The temp was a cool 70 degrees but did I mention the sun was shining! We thinned our blood with the warm temps as well as the morning bloody marys and cocktails that flowed throughout the day.

Book Report

Seriously, when did they stop requiring students to read a book and write a summary for Book Reports? TJ's book reports involve arts and crafts. Something he does not enjoy. Something we do not enjoy doing together. Really - what happen to cliff notes? Here is TJ's most recent book report. It is a travel brochure for Hogwarts. Yes, we read Harry Potter! We did watch the movie but after he finished his project which is why his castle looks the way it does! We asked his teacher to approve Treasure Island, a classic but she said Harry Potter would be better! I still have not wrapped my mind around that yet!
