Busy Week

TJ & Cousin - Devin

First, TJ was able to squeeze in some more baseball this summer. He was asked to fill in for some vacationing players on the 9U Skiles Test All Star team. TJ enjoyed playing with some old and new friends. Unfortunately due to the tournament schedule, TJ and Todd had to skip the Brickyard 400 this year! Tony Stewart finished 3rd despite the lack of TJ's cheers from the the 4th turn.

We continue to follow our nephew, Devin and his teammates as they advanced to the Little League State Tourney in Terre Haute. They won thier first 2 games and have one more to go to qualify for the semi-finals on Thursday! Go BC.

Dad, Doug and I made a quick roadtrip to Detroit to attend a Naming Ceremony for my cousin, Lisa's baby girl - Eleanor. Many of Mom's relatives were in attendance and it was fabulous to see them all.

BFFB Birthday

Fellow BFFB (Best Friend Forever Bitches), Vicki celebrated her 50++ birthday on Wednesday. She chose to dine at Mongolian Grill for lunch.

Make That 6 Homeruns!

Devin hit two out of the park today to help his team win Regionals in Little League Competition. They advance to the State Competition in Terre Haute! Very proud of our nephew and his teammates! They seem like a great group of boys (young men)!

BCLL

Nephew Devin is one the team members on the Bartholomew County Little League All Stars. They are the District Champs and advanced to Regional play! We ventured to Seymour to watch them playe Jeffersonville Little League today in a best 2 out of 3 series. Devin and his teammates are one game closer to advancing to the State Tourney winning today 12-0. We are very proud of him!

TJ went to stay with his Cousin Devin for a couple of days! Hope they have a great time!

It was a day of waiting and watching the rain! First, we woke to very cloudy skies and a spotty forecast. Since it was a light drizzle at noon, we ventured to Noblesville to discover that due to approaching heavy rain, TJ's afternoon baseball games were postponed until Sunday. So we went home, dried off and ventured to Victory Field to watch the Indianapolis Indians. After several rain delays - they canceled the game. However, we were allowed to remain in the Somerset suite to watch the city fireworks that were scheduled for 9:47 p.m. So we (along with some friends) drank beer and played Euchre to pass the time and wait for the big show only to discover at 10:15 p.m. that the fire marshall postponed the show to the next night due to winds!

A memorial service was held in Columbus over the weekend for Todd's Nana, Barbara Sansoucy (Noreen's Mom) who entered Heaven in February. We were unable to attend the service but did have a chance to visit with Todd's Aunt Donna and cousins (Ashley & Bri) last night. Unfortunately, we missed seeing Todd's cousin, Chelsea and her boyfriend, Derek. We did have a quick visit with Cousin Marc before he returned to California.
