Following the championship game on Sunday against TJ's friend, Mark Mayhew's team, TJ and I traveled to Columbus, Indiana to load our stuff into the Mayhew's vehicle to venture to Bill, Diana and Devin's lake house in Tennessee. Due to game delays on Sunday and the fact that TJ and Mark played each other in the championship game, we arrived at 2:30 a.m. Devin had been playing in Ft. Knox and his team also played in the championship game so they arrived in LaFollette, TN just ahead of us. After sleeping in on Monday, the group loaded into the ski boat for two fantastic days on tke lake! It was wonderful. We had to leave Todd behind to work - someone has to pay for new baseball bats!

Runner - Up
TJ's baseball team waited out the storms this past weekend in Greensburg, Indiana to play in the Summer Swing Tourney. Their 8 a.m. game finally started around noon. They won both pool play games giving up only 4 runs but due to a forfiet by the Longhorns to the Blazers, the Prospects were the 2nd seed going into Sunday's games. On Sunday, the Prospects won their first game against the OYO Bombers as well as thier second game against the Seymour Sluggers. But after two games in the 90+ degree heat, the Prospects ended the tourney with a loss to the Columbus Blazers.

Butler Bulldog Camps
Last week TJ and his friend, Jack spent the week on the football field at Butler University learning moves from the college players/coaches. Todd is currently working to install the electric wiring/etc. in the new football pressbox so he had a front row seat all day for the camp activities. This week TJ, Jack and another friend, Alex hit the wood at Hinkle Fieldhouse under the guidance of the NCAA Final Four Bulldog Team! As you can imagine camp sessions sold out quick! The boys were on different teams but enjoyed their time on the court.

Prospect WIN Tourney
Birthday Celebration #3
TJ's 11th birthday was on Friday, June 11th. He did not have camp on Friday and not wanting him to spend the day alone, I left work at noon, picked up Fazolis (he texted me his order with his new phone compliments of his cousin, Devin, Aunt Diana and Uncle Bill) for lunch, and took him to the movies. He wanted to see Karate Kid (remake). Following the movie, TJ and his baseball team had their first pool play game of the Hoosier Diamond Midwest Tournament at Trinity Ballpark. They WON and TJ gave his coach a "beautiful bunt". All in all, I think TJ had a great 11th birthday!

Schools Out for the Summer!
TJ completed 4th grade and will soon turn 11 years old. He will be super busy this summer starting with Butler football camp followed by a week of basketball camp at Hinkle. Then we are going to the lake with Bill, Diana and Devin before another out of town tourney for baseball. Then he has several weeks of camps through the YMCA; rock climbing, laser tag, golf and silly safaris. In the midst of these activities, I am sure the house will be full of his friends!
